Clouds, one by one, fill the sky
Just like these tears that fill my eyes
I know by now she ain't comin' back
I watch my world slowly fade into black
Look out my window it's still rainin'
Look out my window it's still rainin'
They say that time heals everything
I've felt the pain that love can bring
It don't get no better with each passing day
Any hope I had is slowly slipping away
Look out my window, it's still rainin'
Look out my window, it's still rainin'
I thought the morning would rescue me
But the rain keeps falling endlessly, endlessly
Sometimes I wonder what'll become of me
There ain't much left of what I used to be
Her love shone on me like the morning light
Now here I am alone again tonight
Look out my window, it's still rainin'
Look out my window, it's still rainin'
This song has been stuck in my head for a few days, ever since I was dusting off the rarely listened to artists on my ipod and I stumbled across Jonny Lang and his album Wander This World.
When you first listen to this guy, you picture an old black guy singing the blues. I was really surprised when I looked him up on Wikipedia and found out that he is a 29 year old white guy.
Here is a picture.
Now I am not a blues expert, but I like him. The only other real blues I have on my iPod is Robert Johnson, a blues pioneer from the ‘30s. Coincidentally, there is a movie about him (Robert Johnson, not Jonny Lang) called Crossroads. Now make sure this is the Crossroads about the blues musician, starring Ralph Macchio (Karate Kid) not the crappy Britney Spears movie about a road trip.
That’s all for now, should be doing science work, going to watch The Lion King instead.
Thanks for reading,
-MAESTRO
